I bought a 93 cummins a while back and an 84 crew cab I was going to do a crew conversion to, but for some reason decided a cummins ramcharger would be cooler. Sooooo, I traded a grand Cherokee I had for a pretty straight 79 that's loaded (SE?) and a black/orange 80 that's relatively rough. The 79 has some rust over the rear fender wells, but the floor is absolutely pristine. The factory paint isn't even scratched somehow. So the plan is to put the VE pumped cummins, 518, 205 and 60 front into the RC. The truck I got had had a lot of work done to it (I did it all for the previous owner), including swapping Ina Dana 80 rear. However I will probably run a 14bolt I have singe it will gain me 3" or so of driveshaft and it's far cheaper to build. The motor has a few mods as well. I had a set of injectors edm's by don Morrison or it a few years ago. I dynod it after the injectors and some pump tuning, stock timing, stock gov spring, and an hx35-12 and it made 290/770 at the wheels. I'm hoping an HE351, 3200 spring, fuel pin, and some timing will put it around 330hp or so. Anyhow, the plan for now is 63" rears, alcan fronts (4"), 37's, 4.56's and some other odds and ends.
