All either stuff I need...or that's hard to come by. Still a very satisfying feeling to have found all of that stuff at one yard (minus the radio).

if the fuse cover was good, another good thing to get.....door panels....hood release cable..rear speakers for your crew....and the 5 speed setup for your crew...

Fuse cover was warped/keeper for the fuse box was broken; door panels were standard crank, non-upholstered; hood release cable -- I have a spare that I got with the core support that's going on the crew; rear speakers I thought of but they'll be cheaper when a new truck pops up at the local yard.

The 5-speed setup however would be a PAIN to get at the Denver yard. All they offer are hoists for pulling engines...no jacks nor can you bring your own in...so I'm not quite sure how one would safely pull a tranny there...thought about it...forgot to ask on my way in/out the second time...

Even less fun to pull that tranny in a Rocky Mtn blizzard.

I pulled an A100 V8 auto tranny this summer out of

a camper van.

Perfect weather, still kicked my patookis doing it.

Fortunately it was a pop top.

So hoist chain went right thru the canvas front of the top

after I cranked the top up.

Is there a quick/dirty way to get a 4x NV4500 pulled without the use of a jack?

I've honestly never pulled a transmission from a truck before just some light FWD (longitudinally mounted) transaxles from late 70s/early 80s VW/Audis that were 4-speed, smaller, and undoubtedly lighter.

Besides the tranny itself, I'm assuming I need the crossmember as well ?

Obviously I'd need to grab the pedal cluster, hydraulic reservoir, master/slave cylinders, etc.

Anything else (besides the shift left/knob)?

I would say take a good jack in there...you should get x-member, t-case, bell, flywheel, hydrallics, predals and front drive shaft.
that setup is worth 2500+ if you had to buy it from off of the net from a conversion company....

Exactly...all the things I could get but they don't make it easy to. Finding a complete donor vehicle sounds better and better... :?
