It's not a MACHO so I hope it's OK to post! Back about fifteen years ago I had to sell my beloved 1977 Ramcharger. It was due to a divorce. I have missed it almost everyday since. And I have always wanted to replace it. It was a 77, 426 Wedge swap had about 500hp, 3/4 ton running gear, all tricked out. And living in New Mexico, NO RUST! It was awesome.
Flash forward to three days ago. One of my best friends Grandmother bought a 1977 Plymouth Trailduster in 1980. The only reason she bought it was to use as a snow plow vehicle on her land for the driveway. It has only been used for that since 1980. It has 52k original miles on it. Of course it is 4x4. Auto, 360. It's all stock except for the headers and dual exhaust the original owner put on it. I went to look at it today and got it. It is not only all there, but has no rust, all the trim, not a single dent, has the stock flip forward rear seat, and even the stock roll bar. It's been sitting unused for two years now since we haven't had any snow in that area of the mountains, so it needs me to do some carb magic and replace the usual stuff you want to replace after a vehicle has been sitting.
So, the buddy who's grandmom sold it to me is going to trailer it over to my land next Sunday and the project of a total cleaning and gettin it running will start. I will be looking at all your pics here to figure out what color combo I want to paint it but even the paint is acceptable right now so I can save up for all the materials I need for that. I also got lucky and was given a free 360 4bbl motor in excellent low miles condition last month that I just need to go pick up.
Oh, got it for $500.00 I think I scored big time.
