Thanks, gave the old truck a new lease on life and it's been a helluva learning process for me. This truck was originally from Calif. and I suspect it may have been a highway dep't. truck or something of the sort. It's original color was that orange which the state highway dep't.s liked so much. It also came from the factory w/a 225ci. /6 and air conditioning. It's nice that the southwest is easy on old vehicles. If this was a Wis. or Mich. truck it probably wouldn't be around anymore. As for your comment on Az., Prescott is probably the most moderate area in the whole state. We moved here 8 yrs. ago from central Ne. and the climate is very mild to us. Nice that we have all four seasons. Couldn't pay me enuff to live down in the desert. Love Prescott and the Bradshaw Mountains. Here's the camo PW:

Here's a picture of my factory '79 4x4 Utiline Warlock. I went through the exterior and restored the original look that the factory had (except for the mirrors). I don't own it anymore. I sold it to Travis Laboy of the San Diego Chargers. He lives south of Phoenix and is having it completly restored. Currently I just finished my '74 TrailDuster. It's a sweet ride and I don't miss the Warlock. Attachment: '79 warlock2.4.jpg [ 31.85 KiB | Viewed 10762 times ] Attachment:

You and I have had dialog about that 79 Warlock II you used to own, it is on cardomain and I knew you as Dynamodave on there. That was a nice looking truck from all the pics I've seen of it on there and on here. I like the Trailduster you replaced it with, pretty rare truck. |

The paint job was just an easy way to get it looking half-way decent and it's most likely just temporary. I had thought of making this my dedicated hunting truck and leaving it camo but I'm not sure I want to. There are alot of colors out there that I like so it may eventually get a professional paint job. Just have to have the $ and settle on a color or colors. One thing is for sure whatever it'll continue to get used no matter what. This truck drives great and with the built engine it has plenty of power and torque. This truck takes me back to my high school days when a buddy had a 72 Dodge with a 360 built the same way I built this one. |
