...I've been trying to find a '92/'93 Ram with a 5.2 or preferably a '93 5.9L Magnum (first year for the MPFI 5.9). They brought back emissions in Northern Colorado -- so vehicles need to have all of their original emissions equipment -- and be able to pass. Most of the older trucks have long since had their smog pumps and cats removed...
After looking for a few months there was nothing worthwhile in Colorado or any surrounding states (didn't want a 2wd or a CTD -- as I don't need a diesel nor want the added cost to buy one) so I put a want ad up on Craigslist and got one response. After looking at the truck and agreeing on a price I'm the proud owner of a '93 W250 -- regular cab, long bed 5.9L (1st year for the 5.9L Mags). Not much by way of options -- but only has 140k miles and is solid mechanically. Looks to have lived in Colorado its whole life so it's very clean underneath -- but definitely was a work truck most if not all of its life!
I'm not planning anything too extreme -- 4" lift...some nice steel wheels (black or chrome)...and maybe 33" tires. Other than that all I really need to do is get a Borgeson shaft in it. Perhaps down the road if I can find a good utiline bed it could be a pretty rare beast!
