Howdy!
Does anyone know if there is any rhyme or reason to the different splines on the factory dodge steering wheels? I tried to swap a '78 4x4 steering wheel to a '76 4x4 and no can do, but a '79 4x4 swapped to the '76.. I've seen the same thing trying to swap one from a tilt steering column from a 4x4 with no fit, could they be different depending on autos and sticks or what?? Kinda curious what's up. Thanks for the help!

What I have read in other forums, the Dodge tilt assembly was produced by a GM subcontractor. Possibly why the splines are different.
