So I am nearly done with removing the motor and it will be out tomorow. In the mean time I wanted to post some pics of the new rotors/ hubs and calipers that I did a few weeks back. I will also include part numbers where I have them so you guys can reference them if needed. All the parts where purchased from Raybestos, Napa, or Les Schwab tire centers. For those of you not from the Northwest, Les Schwab is the west's largest independent tire center who also does tons of suspension and brake work. I work for them so it was nice to have all the part numbers in our books! The hubs are for a 1/2 ton so if you have anything bigger they will not work. The order of parts goes:
hub/ rotor and wheel studs x2- Raybestos part #76298R (don't try to get rotors from your local napa, they only have 2wd versions
)
inner bearing seal x2 - #26153
bearings x2 - #PBR25 (they press onto the hub so you need a press to put them on. there is 2 bearings plus a spacer per box so you need 2 boxes to do both sides)
Calipers x1 each- #RC4120 and RC1119. These where bought from Schwab as well
To get the hub and rotor assembly off the truck remove the cotter pin and axle nut and then put your socket through the hole in the face of the rotor and turn it until you find all 6 bolts in behind. The bolts look like a reverse torxs as they do not look like regular bolts but your standard sockets work on then. To remove the dust shields remove the 3 standard bolts in the same manner as the hub and everything comes apart. I also painted and straightened the dust shields and painted them while I was in there. Hope you guys enjoy!
