I don't... lol! We never get enough snow here to warrant municipalities spending funds for snow clearing equipment. Since I've become a Dodge truck enthusiast, I've become quite familiar with them though! This one you posted is extremely cool! Nice truck! Thanks for posting!

I don't remember ever seeing that 1 but that is just awesome! I would love to have that to move snow rather than the junk f250 I am stuck using.

That one is a nice truck...it is an oddity being that it is an adventurer sport with the snow commander package....or is it sno fiter...
seen it in person on 2 occasions when I went to Carlisle....
most of the trim on it is "screwed" on...and takes good pictures..

I'm starting to like these Sno Cammanders as they have 3/4 and 1 ton axles. Was out driving some back country roads a few hours away and saw one parked about 300 yards from the road. It was a 1978 long bed, had the 78 grill and amber signals. Still had the plow bracket and lights attached. Couldnt get close enough to snap a good photo but was red in color and wore the Sno Cammander decals. Nobody was home that day but I will have to go back another day with cash.

Ah the Sno-Fiter==Sno Commander, initially Fiter later because a Canadian co was already using the name, Dodge had to rename the pkg to Commander not as dynamic but it worked. The name goes back to at least 1971.
They had factory requirements of hd springs, extra cooling, clearance lights, hd alt & batt, heavy tires 700x15D on Ram or W100 or 7.5016 D on W200 or (9.50x16.5D)tires. Many years they had an available no charge reflectorized Sno-Fiter tape stripe. This was so the truck would show up better when plowing. The plows used were yellow Meyer hydraulic power angle servicable over Mopar parts counters. The plows were 7 1/2 feet wide on all but the wider, taller plow available on the 8000 gvw plow trucks.
Now the 3/4 1ton year ends. All W200 Power Wagons had the full flaoting rear axles until about 80(?). We sold quite a few Power Wagons 74 to 79 58 -85. Few heavy front 4500lb axle, same as the W300s) trucks were sold because 1)expense 2) unecessary because even under severe plowing the std front ax stood up.
In OUR TOWN 1)74 1)78 1)80 1)75 had 4500 lb axles. Big sellar in color was red with just a few 2 tones sold
Most Sno fiters etc were sold as Customs how ever there was 1 Adv SE 1980 w/ leather. An original owner about a mile from my house stll has his 74 W200 Sno Fiter. I think there are still a few in original owners hands.
Weak point steering parts from added weight.

I just found this one, it's a 1972. Does this look like a factory plow setup?

Actually the more I look at it the plow dosen't look right. In the other pictures the rigging goes behind the bumper and this one does not.

This one is back up for sale on craigslist $1500.00. And in the new pictures of it you can see some cancer on the back of it.
