| Post subject: | Tornadoes |
We've been down since last night due to a line of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that blew through our area around 8:45 PM EST. Many other areas are without power and the power companies estimate some areas won't be retored until Monday. Somehow, we got extremely lucky here and the power came back on quicker than in most other areas. There has been fairly severe damage to homes with large trees overturned and roads strewn with power lines and other debris. This is the strongest tornado to come through here since 1973. Thankfully, no one was injured. |
