I just bought my first Macho and I stumbled across this site. I am from south dakota as the title states. My family and I have many mopars and this is the only truck so far. I bought my macho for $250, not a bad deal even though there is plenty of work to do. Here are a few pics of it from the seller I bought it from.

Agreed,

keep us posted.
What a deal!

Original roll bar, wheels, are very good to have.

I will keep up the posts on what's going on with it. It has 4 original wheels and roll bar. I guess they guy I bought it from parted out another macho before it went to the crusher so he gave me a ton of parts for it that filled the bed when I took it home. I am having a problem tracking down box sides for it though, and maybe a tail gate. Anyone know where I can get them from?

Joe Leonard might still have some NOS tailgates,

if you're looking for something for a resto.

What I have done so far to get it running and driving

List of stuff I have replaced so far:

Fuel lines
Distributer
Brake lines
Windshield
Passenger side window
Wipers
Alternator belt
Fan belt
Rebuilt the carb.

and finally my dad decided he didn't want to help work on it if it looked like crap so he decided to invest $45 of my money into spray paint when I was at work. This is how it turned out.

Its running and driving now. It seems I have a pretty stretched transfercase chain but in all not to bad. I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah I was supprised to. The truck is pretty rough though. I am also looking for the origional style seats. I was impressed by the rattle can job though.
