just wondering if you were to get a macho power wagon back in the day what engine would you choose and why?

is there one more powerful or reliable or has more torque than the other.

what is your preference.

Thanks,

I like all of them but have a particular penchant for the 79s. Thus, I'd want the 360. If I had a 78 or earlier I'd want a 440 as I've always been a big block freak. All my Oldsmobiles had (have) either 400 or 425. Also, I know what a 440 is capable of! A friend has a 70 Challenger with 440 six pack and four speed. scariest car I've ever been in. :o

if I had a choice, and I was buying a new one out of the state of California, I would have bought a 78 with a 400 and a 4spd and built it to the hilt...for a 79, I would have bought a california emissions 360 4bbl truck...

My '77 Macho has a 400 with a 4 speed and I am very happy with it. I always prefered big block motors and all but one of my trucks have had manual transmissions.
