Here in South Carolina, we've had a drought going on for several years and have had hardly any rain this year compared to most other areas. But now, that hurricane is dumping all kinds of rain here! It's been raining for a week and the weather service says we will likely not see the sun until Thursday. We sure could have used all this rain several months ago but I won't complain. I'm glad to get it.

high's in the low 100's, and expected to get some humidity from a tropical depression that is just about done in mexico. just been plain hot here in California....no expected cooling until after labor day

Looks like the Gulf Coast is about to get some Gustav.
Hope they're ready for that.
High and dry here, but seems a little cooler in the AMs.
This side of the Sierra had the widest Diurnal range (day/night high to low)
of any place in the US.
could be 95 in the day and 40 overnight.
No more in the past 15 years, our lows don't dip that far during the summer
anymore. :geek:
