Post subject:  318 Propane conversion

We're having a very serious gas shortage here in the Southeast.

I went through four different gas stations yesterday looking for gas. Today two more. There is hardly any gas here and even when you can find it, it's expensive. I'm just about getting tired of it and am seriously considering converting my 1991 Ram to propane.

Anyone here know about this? Who makes an all inclusive propane conversion kit for a 318? I know they must be out there because I've seen Dodge RVs online that run propane.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would do a google search. They use to have dual fuel vehicles out in CA, where propane was one fuel, and the other was gas.

That's what I'd prefer doing. That way I could always run on propane when gas is short. I don't like the idea of being stranded with no fuel as we have been periodically over the last few weeks.

Been seeing 318s on propane online for sale... mostly in Canada. The Canadians seem to be embracing it more readily than we are.
