Don't know if this is much of anything, but spotted this decal on a '80 Ramcharger in a junkyard, didn't notice anything else out of the ordinary other than you don't see many '80 RCs. Take a look!

Yep, there's a salvage yard in spokane, WA , and they typically have 8-15 old dodge pickups and vans, from 69-80up in there, and they have quick turnaround, in less than a month there'll be another 8-15 new ones in there again. There's so many stinkin' trucks up here, you can buy them for 100-300 bucks all day! People don't want to work on 'em and just give them up, or abandon them, it's insane..
Check it out at:

search Dodge

I try to get there at least once a month.. I wish we could save them all.

i wish my local yard would have ONE 72-93 truck. they used to be good for 5-10, but last years sometime i went and they had one. i went a month ago and they had none, but several 94+ trucks and what seems like half the caravans ever made, all from the cash for clunkers deal. it was good to see their yard full, but bad they didnt have anything i could use.

I know what you mean, I grew up in WI and the avg. age of junkyard vehicles is '93 and up vehicles, and the avg. year of vehicle on the hiway in the midwest is about 1999-2002+ I think it takes 7-8 years for a new vehicle to rust over there it seems.. Where in the poor northwestern states it's about 83-90 models on the highways. Lots of 40s-70s stuff in the yards..

Plus anything in the '60-70s in the midwest is rusted into the ground with 60,000 miles, where here I see 60-70s trucks everywhere on the hiway! WIth 180,000 miles. That may change however, the county realized how easy it is to spray calcium chloride on the hiways in the wintertime, rust in piece...
