I just looked at an original paint Macho that is a 1979 model truck with 1979 Macho graphics and the SINGLE headlight front-end/grill.

Seller says the 1979 "quad" headlights was for the higher trim options. I think this is all BS HOWEVER this truck is completely original.

What can you all tell me about a 78 style grill on a 1979 Macho?

Grill for 1979 came in single (round) or dual stacked headlight depending on trim level. It's not BS. Base level got the singles and adventurer got the duals. Also the "buddy" seat was part of the bucket seat configuration and was an extra cost option for the bucket seat package.

Thank you for providing clarity to my questions.

It's always fun to learn new things about our trucks.

Yep, its true, my 79' Power Wagon had the stacked quad headlights and it was an upper trim package Adventurer shortbed with two tone paint, factory slot style wheels extra nice interior stuff and the tailgate had a lot of chrome treatment with a single little cursive "Dodge" nameplate in the lower right corner...I don't remember ever seeing that on any other.
