Yes sir, it most definitely has 12 holes...was hard to see them at first -- at least on the driver's side since it also has a 30-gallon tank to boot!

Hardy har har...it would have been pretty lame to order a loaded truck in '81 and NOT get the buckets!

Yesterday at the yard I scored 4 more wagon wheels...and...what I think is the correct front frame to muffler support arm. I'll have to check for sure though... :D

Well I figured I couldn't make the horn pad any worse, so I stripped off the old double sided foam gasket (seen below)...

...and used some Duck brand double sided foam tape to mimic the factory pattern (I had the 3/4" stuff on hand so I either cut pieces in half or thirds lengthwise depending on how thick the gaps were between the ridges on the rigid metal half -- which I didn't photograph beforehand).

Either way it seems to be working just great -- good thickness for keeping the two metal halves apart until pressed.

The Macho passed emissions with flying colors...and is now legal in Colorado for another year! 8-)

I also picked up some bucket seat bases at the yard this past weekend...and have a line on some '81 cashmere vinyl lowback buckets. Now to just find the right color console... :?

Sadly I only have two bases in hand...the buckets are still on the east coast; a friend of mine just needs to pick them up from his friend and get them boxed up. Not perfect, but, an excellent, original starting point!

Oh, and I really need more land... ;)
