The air cleaner that i have has the secondary flapper door wacuum pod on it, but it is just a single snorkel air cleaner....
that may be a tough one to find.....
I will look in my parts book and see what I can find.....there is also a place called "help smog" that might have it locally....but they are as high as Frank Mitchell would be.....

Well that makes me feel a little better -- bah! So much I don't know about these older truck! Jeff said I needed an '81 parts book -- and he wasn't lying! I have '82 through '93 in PDF form. A shame I couldn't have just one year earlier!

You got it! This yard is huge -- with a decent sized Mopar section -- always seem to at least have 1 or 2 new trucks every time I go!

I love originality and am all for it, but at the same time it doesn't seem like the emissions stuff did all that much, it cluttered the engine bay, and bogged down the engine.

It's a great yard -- been going there since I first got into old Dodge trucks! And they're open till 5 -- so I can jet over there after work if I'm really itching to go (and need some man time)!

For anyone that wants/needs to swap glove box latches on an '81+ I found this article quite helpful (even the '81 factory manual was quite vague).

The Macho had a locking latch whereas the replacement unit from a standard Custom didn't.

Well scored a little more at the junkyard today...since it'll be god knows how long before I'll see another truck with a cashmere interior I snagged some more interior parts. Now I'm wondering if I should have snagged the whole dash!

I also picked up good original muffler hangers as well as a tailpipe hanger.

Would it be sacrilege to add things like glove box and map lights since the truck is pre-wired for them?

The door panels cleaned up alright with some light elbow grease albeit being quite sun faded.

There was an '83 with the aluminum trim strips on its door panels, however one was bent and the other someone had put a screw through to hold it to the door panel at one point. Oh well.

if the panels were good from the 83, I would have gotten them too if they were in better shape. The woodgrain that is on your original panels is something that can transfer easily....
I would go ahead and add the map light and the glove box light to it if it were my truck. Looks like you might have left the mounting bracket for the light on the truck, don't see it in the pics....
Also, would be another idea, but I would probably add the digital chronometer too...
