Hi, I have been visiting this site on and off for few years now as I used to own a red 79 Macho long bed but it was too rusty of a project for me to take on so I sold it and have not seen it sense. I did manage to find a 77 Macho 440 short bed that is also red in much better shape. This truck is missing it's trim tag, but enough of its original paint is still on it for me to verify it a real mach using the spotters guide. Anyways, how rare is this truck? The Macho Power Wagons I have seen in person are the two that I have owned/ own. I do not think these trucks sold well in my area. Anyways, this is a grate site!

Very Cool!

No known production figures

but there were a lot fewer 440 trucks.

Nebraska?

Pictures?

Yeah, I am located in Nebraska. I will post pics of it when I get it running and driving and put the original wagon wheels back on it. It has been sitting since 2006. The body is in decent shape for a old dodge from this area. Is this truck worth restoring if the core supports tag is missing or should I just make an off road rig out of it? Also the roll bar is missing, but I have located a bar off a long bed macho. Can it be modified to work on my short bed without to much trouble? My buddy has a bar off a 70's ramcharger that I can have if I can maybe make work also. I think my chances of finding a correct bar for my truck are slim to none locally.

Yeah, that is my truck. I decided to sell it after I saw your yellow 440 Macho posted on ebay. That truck is in better shape then mine, so I decided to try to sell it in order to buy yours. Then a good friend of mine stops by tonight and says, Why don't you sell your money pit Demon 340 project and you can have two Macho 440 trucks. I said you always tend to steer me in the the right direction, plus my girl friend loves my red 440 macho. Maybe a win win situation for me!Lol
