The sport mirrors were replaced with chev mirrors at some time in its life, it came with all 5 chrome spoke rims, all have a penstar on the back side, did have rubber fender extensions, has the vacuum gauge volt meter and clock, a/c and cruise, and has cargo light. home made rear bumper that weighed 200 lbs and 2 angle iron brackets mounted to the front frame rails that appear to be factory, have seen these on plow prep trucks. also has factory trans oil cooler

The build sheet/hood equipment tag shows that it had slot wheels? I think that's a huge oddity for Macho, right?

Either way that's a great score you have there! :D

Is that what the "C" after the build date denotes on the door jamb tag?

I'd have a hard time believing this truck came with chrome slots, but I've seen weirder things. The equipment label would prove it.

The under hood build sheet is long gone, so I don't know if it came factory with the chrome rims, it is what was on it and the spare when we picked it up. We went to buy an early Jeep Gladiator pickup and came home with this Macho, probably the roughest vehicle in the guys yard. By paper work in the buddy seat it looks like it spent its early life in the South coastal BC area before coming to Southern Alberta.

Interesting...was cruise not normally equipped on vehicles in snowy/mountainous regions?

The original color is DT3116 Bright red almost a perfect match to the cab behind the seats and door panels. The paint shop originally gave me DT3357 bright red, which is too red. I checked my rims, and they are date coded 1976 so they probably did come on truck. Just need to find a nice short box near southern Alberta or north western Montana.

Check under the carpet for a build sheet. If it's there there usually around the hump near the 4x4 shifter.
