We'll I decided to keep the truck and I've started tearing it apart. I'm getting it down to a rolling frame so I take it to get it sand blasted. The motor and tranny will be sent away and redone. I've decided to do it up like it deserves.

I'm going to rob parts from my 2wd Texas ramcharger. I'm making the ramcharger a 79 so I'll take the better radiator support out of that truck.

Will be finishing up this one very soon, as soon as I get it done I can put all my time into the macho. I've always wanted to do one of these trucks up really nice.

Made a nice dolly for my cab last night, I went to Harbor Freight and picked up 4 large pneumatic casters and took a large pallet which I strengthened up with some 2x6's and 4x4's. Now I just need to lift the cab off the frame with the lift. After that the bed needs to come off and then the motor, tranny, gas tank, brake lines, gas lines...
Then the frame is off to the blaster and then back for paint and factory detailed. I'm going to make sure I document every thing that I take off and examine it really well so it goes back the right color and finish.

Got the bed off onto my dolly and it worked awesome. Lift the bed up with the car lift and pushed the truck right out from underneath of it. Now I'll take the cab off and get it ready for the sand blaster. Really excited about doing this truck up. Any one else have red primer under there paint on your macho trucks? I going to spray the under side with a red primer looking paint that Resto Rick sells and then blow in some yellow over spray just like factory.

truck, the cab's coming off today and going onto a rotisserie that I made out of two modified engine stands. I'll be able to twirl the cab around to work on it, should work great for doing work to it and painting it. More pics soon to come.
