has anyone seen a 79 power wagon 4x4 with this stripe pattern? my dad has had a truck with this same pattern sitting in his drive way ever since i can remember. i am looking to restore it for him but would like to know a little more about it. the tail gate has the name "power wagon painted in pin stripe letters that match the color of the two stripes on the side of the truck as Opposed to the big block letters that others have. (((note:the truck in this pic is not the actual truck. the actual truck is now painted primer grey and has the grill with the round lights. i photo shopped this one)))

Almost looks like the 1978 stripe, but different colors...

it does Except from looking at pics of 78’s that I have seen on line, the lines on those seem to thin out above the wheel wells then extend out to the edges of the front grill and wrap around the tailgate. In this 79 the lines are of uniform width until they come to a pint just before the front grill and rear tailgate.

We used to do a lot of striping on used trucks & sometimes new to make them more desirable to prospective customers. The 77-78 Macho stripe lent itself to easier application. Many people who feel they have some special factory model have merely a dealers striping or there were many "conversion companies" changing external appearance, seats overhead consoles radios etc
One customer removed his 76 Adventurer Sport trim replacing it with a beautiful silver striping ala Macho on his bright blue truck

This is what we show to be correct for your power wagon. The stripe you show does look like the 1977-78 Power Wagon.
