Just purchased an original paint/condition 79 Macho.

Starting to search for parts for the truck and have several questions I would appreciate some help with answers so I can search Pull a Part and see what I can find.

Most all my questions really focus upon from what model years can I get GOOD original parts from? Example would be from 1976-1992. Here are some of the parts and body panels in which I am interested in finding out what year models of dodge trucks I can look for these specific parts.

Fenders/bottoms for patch panels
Door weatherstrips
Tailgate
Factory rear bumper (Not step bumper)
Non-cracked glove box door
Front 4wd driveshaft
Outer door window wipes
Spare tire hanger
Bench seat or factory bucket seats
A/C conversion parts to "Factory A/C"
Passenger side bed side patch for over the right wheel well

I am sure there are other parts however this is a good start.

There are LOT's of similar body style trucks in the JY around here and "Pickin" good parts will be easy it's just a matter of knowing which parts exchange from what year.

I am a Ford/Chevy guy but always liked the Macho trucks and their striking paint and decal designs so I bought one. My photos are too big attach here on the site so I have included 1 photo in a photobucket album below:

I look forward to participating and learning more about Dodge Trucks from this era.

Mike....
Most of the sheetmetal is the same from 1972-80. The 80 sheetmetal is galvanized from the factory, so a little better stuff. The interior stuff will be from 1975-79...and 1980 on some stuff. You can get patch panels from Sherman Parts, or Long Motor Company.
There are a few members in the Nashville area...
Keep us posted.. restored an 80 macho, and miss it. Have my citron green survivor macho for now...

Thanks for the replies and updates.

Always great to get parts from the JY when you find them so the interchange information is greatly appreciated.
