Hi guys I need your advise on purchasing 78 Snow commander

Hi guys Im new to this forum and also to the Dodge Macho world. I came across a 78 Snow commander. The seller said it also has the Macho Package as well. The main problem is the 440 it came with, is in a pile in the back yard. The pistons are missing as well as the roll bar, and the plow. The seller is asking $2600 for the truck. He said he knows what the truck is worth in its present state. I will include pictures. And i would like as much feedback as possible on the matter. The other problem is I have no way of knowing if the transmission is good. And does anyone know if snow commanders did come with a Macho package in78?

Thats a lot of money for something that doesn't run, let alone not a macho.
What part of the country are you in???

The pics are too small for me to see the image, it needs to have cab lights, a big trans cooler if AT, heavy cooling, & some other things to be a Commander. I hope your not buying it because of the 440, as memory serves the 440 was not available w/ the SNO COMMANDER. A small SNO COMMANDER decal was a no charge option located @ the rear box side. Earlier models had a full side reflective 3M SNO FITER DECAL.

The VIN will have the motor code. Fifth digit should be an "A" in the VIN line for 440 cu.in.. Snow plow package on radiator core support or under hood equipment label will be YC6 code.
