My new and first full project. My uncle was the second owner and it has been sitting in my Grandpa's barn for 20+ years. Just got to get 650ish miles from where it is in the picture to my house. Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

On the issue of 4WD in gear all the time except neutral................. Your truck has a NP 203 Transfer case which is set up by the factory for all wheel drive anytime your in High on your transfer case shifter. I would not take your project truck to any restorer. They would charge at least $100 per hour. As far as the wiring in the engine department go to Dodgeconnection.com ( http://www.dodgeconnection.com/catalog/ ... 399843.htm ) for your Restoration needs............ Looks like you have a great start on your truck. |

Thanks! There are 5 settings on the shifter for the transfer case including neutral. I haven't looked in detail but my understanding is that in any 2WD mode, it runs as 4WD. Haven't verified, that's just what I was told. I wasn't meaning to get someone to restore it for me. I'm not a fan of body work, paint, or rebuilding seats so I was looking for someone to do that. I need to get the frame and other components sand blasted/powder coated at some point and would prefer a more talented shop to fix the rust holes and get the whole thing repainted with the original colors. |
