Been keeping an eye on a Dodge that finally showed up for sale. It's a macho, 360 2bbl, auto, short box, with roll bar. He's asking 1600 OBO, which I think is kinda high with the shape its in regarding wiring, minor mechanicals, history of mudbogging..
It has GM 8bolt axles on it, 38" tires, rearched springs, body lift, open headers... (to me all garbage) I'm sure this truck was worked, beat hard.
He doesn't know it's a macho, he thinks it's a 318, but everything that is worth something is gone! no spoke wheels, no seats, 1/2ton fact. axles gone.
Does have rollbar however...
It's a wiring mess, needs exhaust, the body is really straight other than kicked up inner wheel wells (probably from bogging) little rust in the wheelwells.. rebuilt 360, and auto.
I know it's a macho, but still hesitant, since that's still some $$ and I've bought running nicer trucks for half that price. and it it needs more $$$ What do you think? I mean what would a macho really be worth if in great running shape, I mean I'd ditch the big tires, lift etc. etc. I guess it how bad does a guy want it?

Thoughts?

-Jim

probably worth that to a kid who wants to beat on it some more...really about a grand for it....naybe you could re-coop some of the money from the axles/tires...maybe

It depends on how high you are willing to go for it...if it were me I'd go over with $1000 cash in hand and offer him $800 cash and see what happens...and I would probably go up to the $1000 and I would definately sell the mudbogging set up to re-coup your cash...maybe even trade the parts to a dodge guy who wants the mudbogging set up for the regular set-up ?

Hey jimbob, I PM'd you about that truck. I am assuming it is in N. Idaho? I would like to take a look at it, but to me I think it would be worth it. Let me know if you get it or if it sells. Thanks.
