I notice in the Macho's Spotter Guide forum, that the author posted that a macho will be a 1977-80 or 81 truck, and that it will be a w150. My question is, wasn't there machos in 1977 that were w100s or adventurer 100s? Also, what is the difference between a adventurer 100, w100, and w150? Thank you.

My question is, wasn't there machos in 1977 that were w100s or custom 100s? Also, what is the difference between a custom 100, w100, and w150? And how many colors did they offer on the machos in 77 and 78, because I bought a 78 macho with a color that isn't too common on any machos that iv'e seen. Check it out for yourself.

in 77, there were both, and it was more of an issue with the desigination, as they offered the 150's as the heaver GVW rated truck. The 150 designation was offered in feb of 77 IIRC...

I've never seen one with W100 on it. They all said 150, but who knows? They did all kinds of oddball stuff, such as mixing parts up and even interior colors. I saw a Duster on the lot once, just off the truck, with left and right buckets that were blue and the other black.

My 74 Roadrunner had the rear end in it that was supposed to be for a slant six, and it soon broke. The manuals were totally wrong about what brake shoes it took. It actually had the police package brake shoes on it, and when I went to get shoes for it, I had to take them off and go to the parts store with them, since they kept giving me the wrong ones, much narrower and slightly smaller than the originals, and they weren't the right material, either.

I put a nice 3.55 8+3/4 in it that was in a salvage yard out of a 71 Charger after breaking about half the teeth off the pinion, and chewing up the ring badly.. The pinion was just about to let go completely, it had a tiny crack in it just in front of the toothed area. All I did to make it trash was put on some very old, and narrow slicks on it, and make a half doxen passes on them.
