1978 Dodge Macho Power Wagon - $2500 (Elizabeth)

Here is a 1978 Dodge Macho edition Power Wagon. It is equipped with the short wide bed, factory bucket seats with center console, a 400 C.I. engine with a 2 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission with granny low, power steering and brakes, and no air conditioning. There is also a sunroof, though I'm not sure if it's original or an aftermarket piece. While this is a fairly rare special edition of the Power Wagon, it is also just a great running and driving 4x4. Someone has replaced the front and rear differentials, so the front axle now has true lock out hubs, and the bolt pattern has been changed to a 5x5.5 set up. The transfer case still has the same Hi, Hi Loc, Lo, Lo Loc settings, but in high and low it is only in 2 wheel drive, while Hi Loc and Lo Loc are 4x4.
This truck is mostly rust free, with the exception of the bed over the rear wheels. The cab corners, rocker panels, front fenders and floorboards are completely rust free. There is some damage to the roof from something falling on it, with a couple of major dents on both sides. There is also a good sized dent on the top of the right front fender. Other than that, most of the body has the small dings and dents to be expected in an older 4x4 pickup. The black paint looks original and very faded, the silver appears to have been touched up by rattle can at some time.
The carpet and seats show their age, but the dash pad looks great with no damage or cracks. The windshield has a crack, the rest of the glass is good. The backup lights, radio, horn and amp gauge don't work, otherwise all of the electricals work great. Mechanically, this truck is very sound, and runs and drives great, and the 4x4 works great. The Cooper 31x10.50x15 tires have very few miles on them, the brakes work well, the engine sounds good, and the transmission and clutch are good. The odometer shows 12,xxx miles, true miles are unknown.
This truck might be a good candidate for a restoration, or just use it as a good running old 4x4. Clean title. 7 one 9 6 6 zero one 3 one 5

Pretty good deal on a rare 4spd

Not a factory hole in the roof.

Be nice if seller had the roll bar.

But, not a bad deal.
