I have a 1981 dodge powerwagon "macho edition". The truck runs great as the engine, trans, and transfer case have all been rebuilt about a year ago. Since the rebuild, it has not seen much highway use i built it for offroad so the miles, since rebuild are very low, probably 100 miles if that. It would pass inspection as everything works the only thing that would have to change to pass would be the exhaust. The last time i had it inspected was last year. It has a 6 inch pro-comp lift kit on 35's the tires are practically brand new 95% tread life. The interior has some minor issues the carpet was ripped out and rhino lined the driver side has rust damage but no holes but will probably need fixed at some point. As of the dash and instrument panel, has no cracks and all lights and gauges work, also has a pioneer radio and new door speakers sounds great. The front bumper on the truck was custom built and has a 8,000 pound champion wench (brand new out of the box never been put to use). The truck has been converted to hold two 12 volt batteries so that the truck can power all the lights and wench. only other issue is the front axel has a small leak probably just needs to have the seal replaced. im asking 6,000 obo. i have alot into the truck its been a great toy i hate to have to sale it but i need the money to pay bills. If you are interested in the truck you can text or call me at 903-436-five one one six. If i do not answer leave me a message and i will return your call.

I remember when it was listed about a year ago...the owner was very vague...wasn't asking nearly as much...and...it wasn't as bastardized. I was in contact with him then he just stopped responding to emails/calls.

I think this one could be saved...but...take someone with deep pockets to bag it and then do it right! :?

Wonder how bad the rust is.

Makes those of us that bought 81 machos for under 1500$

(or should I say, under 1800) look pretty smart. :D

I have no idea what you're talking about! ;)

I did compare the pictures to those I saved last year and the thing definitely looks like it's been beat on in "less than 100 miles"...

That's a shame someone bought it and abused it. These 81 macho powerwagons seem very hard to find.

Technically that's a Macho Power Ram since the name officially changed with the updated body lines in 1981...even his fender emblems say "Power Ram" no where on that truck does it say "Power Wagon" (at least from the factory)...

But you have the hard to find part right, including this one there are around 5 examples currently known in the country...

I like the fact that this one is still wearing it's original paint and decals and original rims, it's seems like most I've seen have been repainted.

I think that all but 2 of them have been repainted...this one, and one other one.
All that have surfaced have been tan, except for one silver one...
