...I saw this fellow driving around our small town in a red one. Back then I didn't know anything about Dodge trucks and just thought he did all that customizing himself. That's been a few years back. I sure wish I'd see it again so I could get some pictures... :cry:

At First I thought they were just worthless, with a lot of gimickey Hoo Haw
That would start to deteriorate the first time it rained. Couldn't haul much
and no 4 wheel drive. Worthless.
Now I see them much more clearly with 30 years of perspective. They were
one of the most unique factory hot rod trucks we ever had the chance to buy.
Guess we still have the chance to buy one, just not quite as easy as it was in '78.
I'd love to know how many are still out there. :D

yeah, I wish I still had mine, it was a BLAST to drive, and got looks from everyone in sight. I wonder what the dodge trucks would be like without the LRE, chances are that the macho and warlock would be even less known without it! :cry:

Nice! I've never seen anything about what these trucks were capable of in the quarter. Any old car mags out there with Lil Red quarter mile times when they were new?

these trucks were good for about mid 15 second 1/4 mile pass. I have articles somewhere....
