I talked to the original owner and this is a real Warlock. He bought it in Detroit in 77. He replaced the bed with one from the 80's after the wood rotted out. He also replaced both front fenders, inner fenders(with fiberglass ones), and the pass side door. He put a 72 grill in it as he liked it over the 77. It did not come with a Tuff wheel.

I quess I should have mentioned I recently bought this truck. Wasn't sure it was a Warlock. With help from this site decoded the vin. All the data tags under the hood are missing. The one on the door jamb is there but painted over. The one on the door is there and in good shape. It is a 360 2v auto 4x4.

Nice Truck!

There is a guy at the end of my street that has a 4 x 4 Warlock sitting in the backyard. He's had it for years & will not sell. It's a shame, it just sits there rotting away....

Your VIN on the truck will not tell if the Warlock option was ordered. Only the under seat/carpet (hopefully still intact) Factory Build Sheet would have the Warlock order code. A give away would be the black in color Dash/gauge cover with gold pin stripes around the perimeter. Also the gold pin stripes around the door panel on the sheet metal.
Look closely at your driver's door exterior skin. Look for faint pin stripping that may have not been removed on the last paint job. All fenders doors and bed panels had pinstriping. '78-79 Warlocks came with Buckets Seats , Tuff Wheel and Chrome Wheels plus all the above. Attached is my '79 Warlock's Equipment Label.

Hey, 383 Ram. Looking for a 4x4 Warlock? See mine in the Adult Toys for sale page 3 listed August 5th 2010.

macho4x4warlock thanks for the pic. I know the VIN doesn't prove Warlock, but it did tell me correct motor etc. I got the original owner's order sheet from the dealership with the truck and it shows the Warlock package ordered. It was in the glove box with the owners manual. I called the home number on it and sure enough he still lived there. After talking to him I now know it is a Warlock. None of the striping is there except the dash. Original owner had replaced bed, fenders, and pass side door over the years. Here are some shots of the interior.

The interior looks great! The dealer order sheet is good enough for Warlock Statis confirmation.

That is a nice rig. Looks tough with the '76 grille, and the lower valence looks like a '79 up, with the amber markers? I think the '76 down ones were clear maybe? That's a real macho man! Is that a charger or challenger peeking out behind that warlock??

Thanks for the all kind words. The car is a 72 Duster. I have a 77 grill for the truck will change it over sometime later on. I would like to paint it the original black sunfire metallic and add the decals. I also have the side boards. Need to put chrome steps, but am keeping the all metal bed. No heat in my garage and it's awfull cold in Pa. right now. My son and I are also working on a 67 Barracuda fastback that is his first car. Needed tons of work, but getting there.
