As time permits I will talk about the pertinate information about the specifics about the PALOMINO package on dodge trucks in 1979, and the predessor package called the "Big Horn" which was available in 1980, and then was changed again from 81-82.

Thought I might have found me a Palomino yesterday.
Guy described tan truck with lighter color inside. Said it had some wierd
stripes. Truck was rattle canned flat black.

Went to see it and it was tan underneath, did have an odd stripe
package that said EAGLE on the tailgate. Think it was just a stripe
kit added later. Not a bad truck but not a Palomino. Oh Well. :(

It's cloth? I doubt there's a way to find out but I'd be interested in knowing where it was made. We have a Milliken automotive fabric plant here in my town that during those days, made fully one fifth of all automotive fabric used by the big three. Very possible it was manufactured here.

the same fabric was used on the 1980 big horn trucks.....to which I also have one of those in my fleet that is going to be restored. I guess I should post a picture of it and the palomino that has been restored too...

I forgot to mention, it is cloth, I just had them put on a clear protective seat cover on it to protect the expensive cloth below....

I just have to know where you found replacement cloth? That's gotta be an extremely hard to find commodity!
