its the white one right? were you on tdr? i seem to remember one very similar to that.

ive had 4 different 1stgen diesels. i love em. one was an 83 crew painted up like a 79 macho. cool truck for sure, but the previous owner/builder did some mega-shoddy work. i got sick of fixing stuff, and it was rusty, so i sold it to a kid with too much money. now i wanna swap a 4 door cab and 6.5' bed onto my 92 x-cab frame, but cant find a nice cab and rear doors to save my life.

i say ctd + palomino = win. do it.

yeah, I was a member there for a while, chris and sam was the old member name there. Yeah, it is a cool rig. I wish you were closer, I have a really clean 81 crew cab short bed 2wd I can't even get rid of for 600 bucks....and I don't want it to go to the metal gods in the sky......
pic of my white crew...

thats it! i couldnt remember exactly, but i thought it was two names!

id LOVE to buy your 81 crew. serisouly. that is EXACTLY what im looking for. ive found rusty, bare cabs with rear doors, in nebraska and missouri, for $600-$750. one was even hit in the right rear, needed body work and a new rear door. id buy that in a heartbeat. got anymore pics? youre not coming this way anytime soon are ya???

I am actually going to be in kansas next week with a friend delivering one, but he might be going back to OHIO later in the summer. I have more pictures, what is your e-mail address....
Also, if he does go back, you would have to deal with him on transport costs, and I would need some fuel money to get it to carson city nevada....
really your best bet would be to come and get it IMO....

cali is a darn long way from here. and (no offence) i dont like the state much anyway. i was there once and dont care to go back. anyway, gimme at least your zip code in the email. ill check into having it shipped, as i dont think i have the spare time to run out there and back.

sounds like the deal you mentioned might have worked, but is quite a bit of a stretch, especially with the short time frame.

oh, and sorry for the hijack.

yup, 36 inch mil tires....
wanted to go with the 37's, but they were more $$$, and I had a budget that I need to stay within....
I have 2 other sets of springs.....4inch and 6 inch fronts if I so desire, but I don't want to mess with the driveshafts, and when the cummins makes it in there I will probably need to do something with the front springs anyhow...

I also forgot, but I changed the bed with another one that I had that was in color....the decal matched up perfectly....there was a lot of luck there, I should have played the lottery when I installed it...lol...no more rust to contend with on the newly installed bed...the old one had wheel lip rust and some rot near the wheel well on the inside....
