File comment: Somebody urethaned the windsheld in. Gonna try and save it. So hauling it to work to have the glass guys pull the windsheld, hopefully in one piece.

Stopped by the paint shop today to check on her. They're almost done with all the body work I wanted done. Supposed to wrap that up tomorrow. Shooting first coat of paint Monday morning. Hoping to be finished end of next week or start of the week after. I snapped some pics today, I'll post them this evening.

Wow I would like to find an a body shop that moved like that . What are they getting to finish it if you don't mind sharing? My Macho was painted about 10 years ago and they used Urethane and all the 79 Macho details are painted on, with the exception of BY DODGE which they put on the wrong side so it should be easy to change some day, that one ran 5000.00 which was a lot back then. I am having trouble these days just keeping the water out of her, the sunroof leaks, the vent windows leak and the windshield seems to also leak at times. I am the only one I know that drives around with 5 or 6 buckets in the cab to collect water.... be a great place for sponge bob to live. :lol:

Well first.....quick history about me. I am a Lexus master tech 10yrs at Lexus with gm wrenching before that. I also have a used car dealers license and buy and sell cars on the side at a car lot that I am co-owner. I know a lot of people in the right places. (and for some reason I am a like-able guy) Cash deal under the table with dupont paint $1100 for paint and body. Got a vinyl guy gonna put my decals from phoenix graphics on for $100. The painter is a old veteran paint and body guy. It's looking sweet so far.
